A PLACE OF WONDER

"Working in the Arts in Newport for the past 35 years, I am convinced that Visual Art has a massive impact on general well being, cohesion within communities and producing a sense of pride. The 'A Place of Wonder' project has turned a once maligned, ugly lane into a visitors attraction, somewhere to sit and enjoy peace or the company of neighbours. 

With the talents of 12 Artists, lots of paint and elbow grease , Ruperra Lane has become 'A Place of Wonder'. Hopefully this idea is just the beginning."
